I have now left my job and am staying home with the kids. We are officially a home school family. I couldn't be more excited and more scared at the same time. I am excited because this is truly what we have wanted for a long while. I can't wait to bond better with my children, bake cookies for my husband and getting this house cleaned and organized. What I am scared about is all financial. We haven't sold our house yet and we are offering a rent to own scenario if anyone is interested, but we have no takers as of yet. We worked out the real nuts and bolts of our finances and with a great deal of effort we found out that we are only $1000 from keeping this house or selling and getting something cheaper. I won't bore you all with the details but the real story is that I am taking a leave of absence from my job, staying home and my husband will be our only bread winner. It will be my job to make that money last as long as it can.
I am searching for deals, clipping coupons, and shopping only sales. I will learn a lot and there are some great websites that I will use to make our money go as long as it can.
www.moneysavingmom.com is one of my favorites. Check it out if you have the time. I heard this woman talk at our home school convention this past spring. She was awesome and has so many great ideas for how to save money and clip coupons.
So wish us luck, pray for us, and I will take any advice you have!!!
